Royal Orchid Resort is located at Mae Haed beach on Koh Phangan in Thailand. The resort offers a range of budget aircon and fan rooms on the beach over looking Koh Ma Island – one of Phangan’s most idyllic spots. At low tide a sand bar connecting the small island of Koh Ma and Mae Haad beach is exposed allowing visitors to walk across the small channel.

Royal Orchid resort offer some 30 traditional Thai style bungalows in a variety of positions, sizes and cooling options with prices ranging from 300 – 1,500 Baht. The bungalows stretch along the extensive shoreline, the landscaped garden and on the hillside overlooking the bay.

Mae Haed is the place on Phangan where snorkelers and divers converge to enjoy the coral reef that runs along the western shore. The visibility and depth of the water here allow excellent opportunities for the aqua enthusiasts. Just above the bay are various viewpoints allowing some wonderful panoramics of the bay. The Manerat elephant camp just above Mae Haed offer trekking that takes in the view point and is just one of the many activities available on Koh Phangan. Try fishing trips, an island tour on a long-tail boat, a Thai cooking lesson, an island jeep tour, Thai boxing lessons or perhaps join one of the many diving schools.
